This is the first large block i made, a scaled up version of my original Butterfly. The original drawing took inspiration from the endangered Monarch, and also the ‘Swallow Tail’ butterflies.
The paper is mm by mm, with the image being 700mm by 520mm.
Lino print using vanSon Univeral Black ink on 410 gram Somerset Satin paper, the coloured papers are handpainted in very thin layers of Rosco’s artist’s concentrated paint.
